Faith at Camp Kintail

Staff share what they hope campers learn about God while at Kintail, and campers share their experiences with their faith at summer camp! Thank you to everyone who supports the mission and ministry of Camp Kintail!

"Hi, my name is Amelia and at camp I learned that God is a friend to everybody and not just a leader, and that you can talk to Him about anything interesting and there’s a mutual respect. I really like camp because it puts everything in a learning way into a fun thing and it's not just all serious—you can just have fun with your friends and also learn about God at the same time!" - Amelia, Overnight Camper

"It's a great place where I can grow in my faith and share my faith with other people. I love connecting with people. I especially love that we start and end our day with God and get to worship Him throughout the day. I get to work through Him, and I get to see His work in every place at camp." -Gale, 2nd Year Lifeguard and Counsellor

"I hope the campers learn about God being a teacher, being a healer, and being our friend so that they can trust God and learn about God at Camp Kintail." - Hoku, 1st Year Counsellor

"I think the most important thing kids learn about God here at camp is just love. Because there's love everywhere at camp, from the staff to the kids. It's just a great place to experience God's love, and that's been my experience here, too. We've got chapel every morning with songs. We've got campfires with songs at the end of the day. And lots of these songs are God's songs—songs that the kids will remember for the rest of their lives because they're all very catchy." - Klang, 3rd Year Counsellor

"Something I've learned about God at Camp Kintail is that He is all around us. So not only amongst the trees and the water, but also in the people around us that we choose to surround ourselves with and grow as people with." - Xerocole, 5th Year Counsellor
