2026 Staff Commissioning

Join us as we commission the staff of 2026 and bless them before they begin their summer changing the lives of children and young adults. Service begins at 2:00 with refreshments offered from 3:00-4:00. Families can enjoy the site then head out before dinner.

This year, dinner will not be served. Instead we will be offering excellent appetizers and charcuterie at Harmony House and Bluevale Deck!

About the event

Anyone and everyone is invited to Staff Commissioning! Family and friends of the 2026 Kintail staff are encouraged to visit and support the amazing young adults who work so hard to make camp especially special for hundreds of campers each summer. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the people your loved one is going to be talking about for years to come and to see all the places they've been telling you about!

What should I wear:

Anything comfortable and weather appropriate! Most of the day's events will happen outside.

1:30-2:00 Arrival

Arrive at the camp and park in the main lot (immediately to the right when you enter camp), on the tree line (immediately to the left), or on the lane along the right hand side. Follow the lane by foot to the Kintail chapel! Washrooms located on the way in MacDonald Lodge or at Harmony House closer to the chapel.

2:00 Commissioning Service

Commissioning: A worship service for all ages will be held. The staff will sing and praise together while they are all blessed in their endeavour to change the lives of children and young adults all summer long! The service is open to all!

3:00 Happy Hour

After the commissioning service join us Harmony House and Bluevale Deck for light refreshments and the infamous Kintail charcutterie spreads!

3:40 Tree Ceremony

Tree Ceremony: An announcement will be made and guests will be invited to go to the tree garden to celebrate members of the Kintail community who have dedicated 5, 10, 15, 20 etc. years of service to Kintail.

4:30 Departure

Walk to the beach and head home at your own pace. Drop off any treats or care packages for your staff member and have a safe drive home! We're so happy you joined us!
