We are delighted that six young people from Malawi will briefly be joining our Camp Kintail community this summer. These six youth and their leader, Canadian Presbyterian minister & missionary to Malawi, the Rev. Mike Burns, will be joining the staff for part of staff training and the first days of summer camp. Two years ago, four of our staff members took part in a Youth In Mission trip to Malawi. Many of the youth coming to Canda were part of the trip in Malawi at that time. We are excited to meet some of the young people we have been learning about for the last two years and to learn from them in person. As a staff and a camp, we have been spending time learning about Malawi and the church there. In our Kintail On The Road program, campers have had time in mission studies to learn about Malawi.
We are so excited to be welcoming these young people. When their time at Kintail is finished, they will be heading to Canada Youth 2012. If you would like to meet know more about these youth, just watch this video they have put together.
