Wild Turkeys

By November 11, 2009Off-season

One of the neat things about being at camp in the fall is seeing the wildlife return to camp.  In the spring it is not unusual to see lots of animals and birds on the site, but as the summer progresses and the campers get louder, the animals all hid away.  For the last two springs we have been very lucky to see foxes on site.  In the fall, the animals and birds start to return.  This fall, there was a group of wild turkeys who wandered around the site.  The pictures are very poor quality, but I have discovered it is very difficult to get pictures of wild turkeys!  They don’t stay in one place very long and start moving as soon as they see a person.  One day Algae saw a group of turkeys sitting on the TP Shuffle!  006
