Virtual Leader In Training Program
July 6-24 $250.00 Age 16 (born in 2004)
We know that many of our campers look forward to the day when they become a Leader in Training (LIT). This is a big step into increased responsibility and leadership at camp, at church, and in the community. While we can’t gather in person at Kintail this year, we still want to provide leadership training, community, and faith formation for young adults this summer.
Week One: 10 hours of community-building time on-line. This will include chapels, campfires, FLASH, games, and leadership sessions.
Week Two: Leadership modules to be completed with flexible timing (roughly seven hours). Three hours of scheduled community time with camp staff.
Week Three: Leadership modules and a LIT group project to be completed with flexible timing (roughly seven hours). Three hours of schedules community time with camp staff.
Throughout: Access to camp staff for support, encouragement, and problem-solving.
The first week includes quite a bit of time spent together on-line, but the rest of the program is much more flexible. We recognize that LITs may have school, home, and work responsibilities and we will work with the LITs to find times that work for the group to meet.
All LITs will receive a package that includes their LIT shirt, LIT manual, and Bible. When we are able to gather, LITs will have a retreat before the 2021 summer season.
Registrations are to be completed through our online portal. Registrations should be completed by July 3rd with payment due upon registration. Camperships are available as always if the cost is prohibitive. For help with the registration process or questions regarding the LIT program contact [email protected]
or call the camp office at 519-529-7317. To apply for campership please send an e-mail to [email protected]
Supported in part by bequests to The Presbyterian Church in Canada.
