Never before have I been to a place as tremendous and wonderful. Going to Camp Kintail has been a learning experience, most of all. To say the least, this year I learned so many new skills while working on different tasks around the site, especially in the maintenance department. “Give outhouse building a chance” I told myself, and in a matter of hours I was well on my way to building and installing my own shelf, which isn’t much, but it was an accomplishment for me. You never quite know what camp is going to thrust upon you, what new skills you will learn here. Up until this year, I’ve learned plenty of leadership skills being a counsellor, but now I can be a true handy man.
