Allyson, where are you?? You are correct, that is Scott and I but the year would be 1983, the first year Kintail hired a Canoe and Outtrip Director -me!
Teaching canoeing in the “lagoon” was much different than the Muskoka lakes and Temagami rivers I had trained in but it was safe for beginners. How I longed for a proper dock! My summer was consumed with pack, tent and paddle repairs and carrying those Springbok canoes up and down from the Rec Hall to the lagoon so they would not be stolen each weekend. I still love to canoetrip in Ontario’s backcountry but thank goodness my tripping canoe is much lighter than the ones I slung at camp!
