This past long weekend Camp Kintail welcomed the Presbyterian Young People Society to host their annual May Camp retreat! Over 80 people attended including participants, Youth Leaders, Adult Advisors, and Chaperones; an awesome turnout for an amazing weekend.

The theme of the weekend was “Amazing Grace”, and through our amazing theme speaker Scott McAllister we explored what the concept of grace means in many contexts. We explored grace within ourselves, in our interactions with others, and of course, God’s grace given to us. In particular we dove deep into the hymn “Amazing Grace” and into the story of John Newton, who wrote the words that are so iconic and meaningful to this day. The theme speaks, discussions, and activities this weekend challenged participants to explore their faith, and fostered growth and spirituality throughout the entire event.

The participants got the whole camp experience at campfires, beach time, getting to try the High Ropes course and the Rockwall, playing camp-wide games, worshipping in the Chapel, and of course eating great meals together! We were blessed to have amazing weather to experience God’s creation, while praying, singing, laughing, playing, dancing, and worshiping together in community!

Thank you to all who made this weekend possible.
