Nepal Reflections by Orbit

One year ago I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Nepal and trek to Mount Everest Base Camp. We were overwhelmed by the kindness of the people, the beauty of buildings and the history of the culture. I was devastated to learn of the earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday. Over 4,600 people were killed, over 9,000 injured and over 8 million people were affected. Those who have survived sleep outside because they have either lost their home or are fearful of an aftershock; this includes our guide and his family. Those of us that went on the trek have set up a fundraiser to show our support to the place and people we came to love. If you are able to donate to the Nepal Red Cross Society please do so at the link below; every amount is helpful.
