Living in Community by Moringa

By February 4, 2013Uncategorized

If there is one thing that I have taken away from this past summer it is living in a community of youth that all have similar goals, but a vast array of personalities. Living at camp is like living in your own little world, we even have our own time “camp time”! Which depending on the summer, can be 3 minutes faster than regular time or a few minutes slower. This like many other things is what makes camp such a unique place to live. It has always been nice to leave the technology behind for a few months and really appreciate nature and the little things that we often take for granted. And of course the campers are what truly keep the heart of camp beating. Seeing the nervous, excited faces of campers arriving and then to see them develop, make friends and break out of their shell each and every week is why I continue to spend my summers at camp. This summer has been one of the best and I owe it all to camp Kintail and the friends I have made.
