The outdoors is an endless experience. One filled with wonders big and small. Now, more than ever, having a space dedicated to exploring and understanding the majesty of nature is of the utmost importance. Eighty percent of Americans, and more than a third of the whole world, can no longer see the Milky Way in the night sky. I love spending time outside. I find myself more relaxed and happier in nature than I do anywhere else. Seeing the billions of stars each night reminds me of my purpose on earth, to exist with nature and to take care of it.
I hope that in coming to camp, every child has the chance to experience nature for what it is. To live in nature and understand how vast the world is, how large a part they must play in it, and how special a world we live in.
