Dear Friends of Kintail,
Thank you to everyone who has been worried about Camp Kintail over the last couple of days. Thank you for your phone calls, emails, and facebook messages. As I hope you have heard, Camp Kintail was completely safe during the recent tornado in Goderich. We will have some minor service distrutions from suppliers and the mail, but for the most part we will be unaffected. We are very concerned for our neighbours in Goderich and have been praying for everyone more directly affected. Below is a message from the United Way about relief efforts.

Goderich Tornado Relief Fund Established at United Way of Perth-Huron
(August 23, 2011): Ryan Erb, Executive Director of United Way of Perth-Huron, announced earlier today that a Goderich Tornado Relief Fund has been created. After carefully considering how United Way of Perth-Huron could best support recovery efforts after the devastating tornado this past Sunday, it was decided that this would be the best way to help. “This is one of the worst disasters to ever hit our area. People’s lives have been turned upside down and it is our job to assist in any way we can. United Way specializes in raising money and distributing funds to those who need it most.”
To assist in receiving donations, United Way of Kitchener Waterloo & Area, with sponsorship from Libro Financial in Kitchener-Waterloo, has
generously offered to support via-text donations. Text donations can be made in support of the Goderich Tornado Relief Fund from August 23 to August 31. To make a $5.00 donation, please text “UCARE” to 45678.
100% of all donations made to the Goderich Tornado Relief Fund will support the community of Goderich.
