Geo-caching by Ficus

Hey there friends! Ficus here. Something new this summer to Camp Kintail has been the fabulous geocaching course around camp!

What is geocaching, you might ask? Well it consists of using a GPS and a compass to find hidden containers placed all around camp. The containers all have their locations programmed into our GPS’s so that we can find them using our GPS’s (“Gerald Penelope Salandar”, and “Gladis Petunia Simpson”) and a compass. Once you find the geocache, you open it up and your cabin or group can sign the log sheet where you will be forever immortalized! There are twelve geocaches in total, ranging from the size of a coffee tin to as small as a film canister, and different shapes and colours as well. Pretty neat, huh?
