Family Camp Wrap-Up

On Monday we said good-bye to an incredible group of Family Campers!  Family Camp is always a huge highlight of the summer and this year was no exception.  Families came from across the Synod and beyond and participated in all sorts of activities.  The Disc Golf course was very busy and children and adults alike climbed the rock wall.  Children had adventure group sessions and there was a large baby group this year.  Adults enjoyed spending time with the Rev. Rodney Smith-Merkley, aka Sage, who spoke on right relations with our First Nations neighbours.  The adults also got to hear about the staff members trip to Malawi.  We had great food including a ham and scalloped potato meal and roast beef with roasted potatoes.  All in all it was a great weekend!  One staff member said during our closing meeting, “I know they are just driving out the lane right now, but I miss my family already!”
