Hey there friends, Chasm here! This past summer I’ve had the pleasure of being one of the midsummer LIT RCs. From the middle of July until the middle of August Mouffette and I led and taught six fantastic young people about leadership and living in community. This month was undoubtedly the highlight of my Kintail season this year, and may have been the most rewarding experience of my life thus far. In the four weeks my LITs were at Kintail, I got to bear witness to tremendous growth in each of them, and saw them become more confident and able as leaders every day throughout the month.
Not only did I get to see my six LITs learn, but I also got the opportunity to get to know six amazing people very well. Each of the leaders in my group was an interesting, fun, and genuinely kind person, and I feel blessed to have had the chance to know each of them so closely. The bonds that were made in that month were really something amazing to see, and while our month wasn’t without its challenges, I think that the friends made along the way will last all of us a very long time.
If any of my LITs are reading this, I love and miss you all, and I am incredibly proud of each one of you! You’re all stellar people and fantastic leaders, and I can’t wait to see where your lives take you!
All the best,
Chasm
