Camp Garden

By July 12, 2011Staff

Hi Friends!

This year at camp we started up our camp garden again! We started our preparation and planting in May and have worked hard at it all spring. In our lovely garden we have tomatoes, onions, carrots, radishes, peas, beans, celery, peppers, basil, pumpkins, squash, and zucchini. As of right now our crops are doing spectacular, we’ve even been able to harvest a few radishes; they were delicious! We are sure that our garden will continue to thrive and are confident that we will be able to produce enough vegetables to share with the rest of camp through out the summer. We are excited to show campers who would not otherwise have the opportunity, how a functioning organic garden works. We think this is a great opportunity for campers to experience what fresh produce tastes like.

Feel free to come check it out!
