Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a tremendous summer last year. With all the sunshine, how could you not have loved it!?
This past summer I was the Assistant Director at Camp Kintail. Often people ask me what I do in a day and what my job entails, and rarely do I have an answer for them! So much of my time is spent doing miscellaneous things, and working in the moment. For example, this week I’ve run primetimes, cooked several meals, done office work, cut the lawn, run Camp-Wide FLASH, and plenty more. I guess you could say my job requires you to be a multi-purpose staff member!
This was also a big summer for me as it was my 5th summer on staff! Myself, Marine, Lua, Hazel, Yeti and Bacon all received a tree dedicated in our honour at Staff Commissioning. That was a very proud moment for me, knowing that I had given 5 summers to the ministry at Camp Kintail.
Having completed 5 years on staff, I look forward to what the future has in store for me. I’m proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish this summer and in past summers at Camp Kintail, and I’m excited to see what the new and future staff has to offer.
