One of the exciting additions this summer to our schedule is our Rock Climbing Expedition. This week, six staff members went to try out the trip and had an incredible experience. They felt the campers who get to go on this trip will have the experience of a life-time and it will give the campers new confidence and a real sense of accomplishment. This week Guava, Orbit, Vapour, Wombat, Zabrini, and I travelled to the Bruce Pinnesula for the 2011 Rock Climbing/Hike pretrip! We started our adventures in the town of Lion’s Head with a full day of top rope climbing and amazing views of the surrounding bay! By sunset we arrived at our campsite in Cyprus Lake Provincial Park feeling tired but very successful. The following morning we trekked on the Bruce Trail to Halfway Log Dump beach, and spent the day challenging ourselves with different bouldering problems. After the hike back to our camping site, and some great food, we were all enthused for a great nights sleep! We were all sad to end the trip but glad to return to our Kintail family!!
