We were excited to complete construction on the Nest last spring, and the momentum hasn’t stopped! Here’s what you’ll notice on your next visit to Kintail:
Our Bouldering Wall
Titan and Arctic had a blast putting together an indoor bouldering room complete with two unique features! This area is a fun and exciting indoor option for rainy days and has been enjoyed by groups and staff alike! Come play at our new ping-pong table and ask Titan about the “animal challenge” the next time you visit!
Paint in the Nest!
As if building the Nest wasn’t enough- now we get to decorate! Hydra, Hawberry, Kai, and honestly every other staff member at one point or another has helped bring this space to life with a fresh coat of paint! Plants, paintings, and other accents are truly making this place feel like home whether you’re here for months on staff or up for a weekend visit.
Private Change-Rooms in Cabin
We are diligently working to ensure that each cabin has a private change area for campers and staff. These spaces will help to build a more inclusive space and will offer campers privacy and comfort as they get ready for another great day at Kintail!
Entrance Lighting
Earlier this winter Kintail staff jumped into some trenches to bring new light-posts to the site illuminating the main parking area and path to the office and the meadow! Forgot something in the car? No need to grab a flashlight!
Renovations in Feathers
Feathers cottage houses our nurses in the summer and is a great rental cabin throughout the rest of the year. Changes are still in store- but check out the new cabinets and countertops! Thanks to Bill Young and Duku for the kitchen face-lift!
