Kintail-90

Camp Kintail not only offers a safe and welcoming environment for it’s campers, but also for it’s staff.  Whether a musician, artist, nature enthusiast or joker, Camp Kintail seeks to have a versatile staff with strengths in a variety of areas.  Over the years, many people have come and gone as Camp Kintail staffers.  These individuals have gone on to achieve a variety of things.

“As a staff member at Camp Kintail I felt like I truly belonged.  At the end of each summer, I knew I had made a few more friendships that would last a life time.”
- Amy ‘Forest’ Reinders, Staff Member 2002-2004, 2007, 2008

“Camp Kintail s a place where I can go to explore and enjoy the outdoors, find amazing friendships, and is where I feel the closest to God.”
- Kelly “Electra” Taylor, Staff Member 2007-2008

“I learned that I could do things, I didn’t know I could do.  Great things that I continue to use throughout my life.  I have learned that every staff has the same people on it. The joker, the crier, the troubled, the tough, the soft, the sweet, the hard to get to know, the everyone’s friend.  They are all there because they love the campers.  I loved swimming in the lake on a rough day in the kitchen.  I loved sitting on the side of the cliff reading a book.  I loved getting to know the campers.  I LOVED having a new staff, get to know and love my own children.”
- Heather ‘Lilac’ Macauley, Staff Member 1992-1993, Volunteer 2007

“Camp Kintail provided me with a starting point in developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to be where I am today.  Kintail never really ceased to be an important part of my formative years, which I proudly pass forward to my nephews for them to experience.  Recently I have encouraged other young people pursuing leadership goals or who would like to work with children in a Christian environment toward Kintail and impart them with my experience and insight.  To sum it up, Kintail helped transition me from a child into a young adult.  As an individual who has worked with children since the age of 13, Kintail taught me several key lessons in responsibility and attitude, and continues to be a significant part of my life today.”
- Colin Barron, Staff Member 1993

“Working at Camp Kintail was the most rewarding experience of my life, I will never forget the friends that made me feel like family and the campers that made each day interesting.”
- Emily ‘Anemone’ Currie, Staff 2006-2007

“The friendships you build with people are deeper than most.”
- Josh ‘Platinum’ Buchanan, Staff 2008
