TheLodge

MacDonald Lodge

Dining Hall with outdoor patio, 8 retreat type bedrooms, camp offices, meeting room, public bathrooms. Open year-round.

MacDonald Lodge offers comfortable indoor seating for up to 225 guests with both round and long rectangle tables. The accordion doors can be opened up to extend the hall out onto a covered stone patio for additional outdoor seating of up to 125 for meals, or an excellent place to relax with your group. The Lodge is a single level so all spaces are accessible, including an accessible washroom. The hospitality bar is available with space for coffee, tea, juice, water and snacks. There is a fireplace, piano, and furnished lounge for your to use at leisure.

The Nest

11 hotel type guests rooms, 4 meeting rooms, rental kitchen, public bathrooms. Open year-round.

The Nest provides a large basement room for dining, meeting, crafting or other activities perfect for large groups as well as a fully stocked kitchen available to rent. There are three additional smaller meeting and activity break out spaces. All levels of The Nest have ramp access. The exterior of The Nest offers both an upper and lower wrap around deck for guests to use for programming, meeting, eating, or relaxing. The outside decks are the perfect space to enjoy a morning coffee and watch the sunrise, or to host a paint night!

HarmoyHouse

Harmony House

Rental kitchen, meeting space, public bathrooms, covered porch. Closed for winter season.

Harmony House was the original lodge which has since then been fully restored. This charming building has both wood burning indoor and outdoor fireplaces, offers a large meeting/dining room that comfortably seats 65 inside, and is equipped with a full kitchen available for your group to rent. In addition, there is a smaller meeting area and piano for your group to use at leisure. The exterior of the building has a large wrap around deck with ramp access where you can hear and view Lake Huron. The covered deck around back not only offers outdoor seating, but has a propane fireplace and comfortable Muskoka chairs for your group to enjoy while being surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Feathers Cottage

3 bedrooms, living room, full kitchen, 2 bathrooms. Open year-round.

Feathers is a beautiful retreat cottage that is equipped with a household kitchen and a comfortable furnished living room. Feathers Cottage also has its own propane furnace at A/C control unit, a covered back deck, ramp access with automatic door, and laundry facilities. This cozy cottage is perfect for a small group get away, elderly guests, or to accommodate group leaders for larger retreats.

Rec Hall

Large open meeting space with low stage at front. Closed for winter season.

The Rec Hall is a large building with indoor space that seats up to 160 guests. It has a wooden floor, large windows, ramp access, a low stage at the front, is equipped with rectangular tables and chairs, has a built-in sound system, a keyboard and a projector screen. The Rec Hall is suitable for games, worship, indoor sports, meetings, or active workshops. This is the only building on site which is not heated.

Cabin & Yurts

Cabins:

  • Electricity, insulated

  • 2 change rooms in each

  • Front and back doors, front deck with ramp access

  • Picnic table for each cabin

  • Sleep 8-12 guests in single/single bunk beds with vinyl covered mattresses (10 cabins with 6 bunks, 5 cabins with 4 bunks, 4 yurts with 5 bunks)

Yurts:

  • Electricity, insulated

  • Ramp access

  • 2 change rooms in each

  • 5 single/single bunk beds

  • 4 windows and rustic skylight with vent

Washrooms:

Guests staying in cabins and yurts have 24 hour access to shared washroom facilities on Cabin Hill, MacDonald Lodge, The Nest or Harmony House

Outdoor Chapel

Our Outdoor Chapel overlooks Lake Huron and is sheltered by a canopy of cedar trees. Listen to the waves crash against the shore as you celebrate as a group in worship, workshop, or presentation. With tiered bench seating, additional chair seating and ramp access, the outdoor Chapel can seat up to 300 people. A sound system is available to rent for an additional fee. This is the perfect place onsite to close your eyes and relax, taking in the beautiful surrounding sounds of nature.

Camp Kintail Map

Explore our hiking trail to take advantage of the beautiful scenery that Camp Kintail has to offer. Our 4km trail spans across the neighbouring wooded land on either side of camp. Discover breathtaking views of Lake Huron and Kerry’s Creek along the way while being shaded by a canopy of cedar trees, or relax on a handcrafted cedar bench and listen to the sounds of nature.
