One of the greatest assets Kintail enjoys is its staff. Young adults are selected for their leadership ability, skills, experience and understanding of faith. We place great emphasis on our staff’s ability to set a good example and to become mentors to the campers entrusted to their care.
Our pre-Camp training for staff deals with: common problems experienced by campers, bullying, spiritual growth, group dynamics, games, personal well-being, positive camp-counseling techniques, and much more. All staff have criminal record checks and standard first aid certification. Many staff members also have additional training in lifeguarding, working with behavioural and special needs, wilderness first aid, canoeing, and much more.
